Coach Jackie: We are ready for Ajax Cape Town (MDC)

Nov 06, 2015 @ 10:04:12

Polokwane City Multichoice Diski Challenge Team Coach Jackie Ledwaba says they are ready for their encounter against struggling Ajax Cape town on Saturday, 07 November 2015.

Coach Jackie as he is known says that the team is having their first training today since their last away match with Olando Priates which ended 1-0 in favour of #RiseAndShine “Yes, today will be our first training since we came back from Rand Stadium. We had a few unforeseen circumstances, like some of our players had to travel with the 1st team to Maritzburg United. And now that we have all the players it’s all systems go”

The energetic coach further opened up about City’s win over Pirates “That match was tough but I’m just glad that we managed to collect maximum points and we definitely see this as a confidence booster for the upcoming match with Ajax”

Polokwane City is currently 3rd on the #MDC log standings with 13 points collected from 7 matched. While our visitors, Ajax are currently on 15th position with 4 points from 6 matches.

Coach Jackie says his main concern going into this encounter is the amount of injuries the team is faced with. Two of his players who play upfront, William Baloi and Ruben Boshomane are injured and will not be good to play by Saturday.

As if that is not enough, Coach Jackie is also faced with the possibility of playing without Patric Ngidi who captained the last match with Pirates but Coach says that Ngidi is recovering well and he hopes he will be ready come Saturday.

Coach Jackie also had this to say to City fans: “We know Ajax very well and we can kind of predict the type of play they will show on Saturday so basically that puts us at ease as we can establish a strong game plan. We will make sure that our defence and the middle of the park is solid and once that is done we will create pressure upfront in our defence and hopefully that will make Ajax crumble.
