The Chairman's surprise visit.

Jan 20, 2016 @ 09:53:35

Last week’s performance by the boys which saw Polokwane City beat Supersport United 4-1 in an Absa Premiership encounter got an ovation from the chairman of the club, Mr Johny Mogaladi.

In the real world, greatness is celebrated and in this context the chairman is no exception. To show his efforts the Chairman graced the players, management and employees of the club with a surprise visit at The Village and immediately called for a private meeting.

Even though the meeting was impromptu and no one had anticipated it, the outcomes thereof were fruitful. The chairman kick-started the meeting by addressing the youngest team at #RiseAndShine that is playing in the ABC Motsepe league:

“I would like to start off by outlining that even though the small boys in ABC Motsepe league are not performing to their fullest potential, I’m glad that they are getting the platform to assess competition and are inducted into the world of professional football.”

“That platform for us is a place for our young players to get ready for Multichoice Diski Challenge and first team call ups.”

The chairman moved on to attend to the #MDC team “I’m very thrilled to talk about the following team; this team has been on form since they have been participating in this particular challenge. We were so close last season that this time around i have hope that the boys will win that coveted price and travel to the Netherlands”

The chairman jokingly pointed at the technical team saying that “i know that you will all be fighting to go to the Netherlands with the boys, but for that to happen you need to make sure that you lead the log in our next couple of games”

“Look at Siphesihle Nzimande, he wouldn’t be that good in the first team if it wasn’t of the opportunities created for him in the #MDC team. I’m happy with how things are going as far as the latter is concerned.”

The chairman also reiterated the amazing football that was displayed on Saturday “I don’t celebrate goals, however i celebrate excellence. This past weekend the boys showed great performance all round and i would like to see this kind of mood go on for as long as this club exists.”

The chairman personally thanked striker, Thobani Mncwang for braking records and showing so much enthusiasm. He also thanked all the players for the team effort shown on the day.

In a more general act of kindness and showing a great gesture to thank everyone for their continued efforts in making the brand what it is the chairman too all the staff members, management and players to dinner tonight just eat, talk and look at the season ahead.
