Polokwane target chiefs win

Feb 22, 2016 @ 10:31:42

Polokwane City will hope to return to winning ways when they travel to Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday evening at the FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.

With #RiseAndShine still trouncing their wounds after last weekend's 3-2 loss to Ajax Cape Town, the match is set to be a thriller.

The match against the Soweto giants grants them an opportunity to redeem their Away-status as they cannot afford to drop nine points consecutively.

Julio Leal's charges are also aware of their responsibility as they have registered three losses in their previous three matches.

Rise and Shine lost to Platinum Stars, Abafana Bes'thende, and most recently to Ajax Cape Town.

On the log table, City are placed at number 13 with 21 points from 20 league matches and meeting the Amakosi is set to be a test of their character.

Focusing on Steve Kompela’s men, Chiefs will be high in confidence following their weekend victory over Supersport United where the match ended 2-1.

Placed at number 03 with 38 points from 20 games, the Johannesburg-based club will be motivated to fight for the full three points at the FNB stadium.

Tickets are available at Computicket for R40.

Polokwane City captain, Jabu Maluleke says that it has been a tough road but they are ready for Chiefs

“The team has gone through some trial and tribulations but now is time to reclaim our spot and prove why we are in the PLS for us to achieve all that we have to start somewhere, it’s not too late.”
