Polokwane City made it past Platinum Stars in their weekend away Nedbank Cup fixture following their 2-1 win and Player’s are ecstatic about the thought of participating in the last 8 of the competition.

Harold Ndlovu, one of #RiseAndShine star goalkeepers says based on his observation of the competition, this year’s edition has been more electrifying “This year’s edition is more demanding and needs players who are willing to die for the team’s badge meaning that every match in the competition counts’”

“Literally, Nedbank is a cup competition of determination and hard work. So our advancement into the last 8 was a moral and confidence booster as everyone knows that’s the same spot the team is aiming for in the Premier League.”

Ndlovu is also adamant that the team can make history in this year’s edition of the competition “I see us going all the way and inevitably lifting the trophy. We were prepared for this competition and the technical team is working extra hard in making sure that the team perform well. “

“May i also add that i am impressed by the level of talent displayed by the players in the competition, it’s almost like i can’t even fault as single player”

Meanwhile City head Coach Julio Leal expressed his excitement at the level of performance shown this year “I am happy with that the team that i am working with. It is very endearing and exciting to wake up every day and look forward to training and i am definitely interested on how this competition will unfold.”
